Built over 2,000 years ago, Sorabora Wewa is one of Sri Lanka's ancient reservoirs. A gentle boat ride across its mirror-like surface, framed by jungle and blue skies, is pure magic.
Dabarawewa village offers a window into Sri Lanka unchanged by time. Warm smiles, thatched homes, children playing, and the aroma of wood smoke drifting through coconut groves.
Guided by village elders, you'll grind spices, light the fire, and prepare a true Sri Lankan rice and curry. The meal you cook becomes the most memorable you'll ever eat.

Start a scenic, gently adventurous cycling trail through forested bends and peaceful rural landscapes. A knowledgeable guide rides alongside you and a support vehicle follows for safety.
End of the cycling section β around one hour of moderate terrain. Short rest and refresh.
A scenic 30-minute drive through the charming, culture-rich city of Mahiyangana in a fully air-conditioned van.
Glide across one of Sri Lanka's ancient reservoirs in a traditional paddle boat (life jackets provided). Learn its age-old irrigation history and spot birds, forest animals and β most days β wild elephants in their natural habitat. (1 hour)
At a village near Dabarawa Lake, cycle through scenic paths past lush paddy fields and rustic homes, then join a hands-on traditional cooking class and share the village lunch you prepare. (approx. 3Β½ hours)
Set off along the scenic route, visiting the serene Loggal Oya Reservoir and stopping at Rantembe Dam β a lesser-known hydro marvel of calm water and natural beauty.

A memorable drive through the heart of Randenigala Forest along the legendary Raja Mawatha road. Watch for birds, monkeys and even elephants amid the raw, untouched beauty of this protected sanctuary. (45 min)
Your final sightseeing stop. Take in panoramic views over the famous Victoria Dam β Sri Lanka's tallest β and one last round of incredible photos. (15 min)

Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the tour: full refund minus processing fees. Cancellations within 72 hours: 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows: no refund. We recommend travel insurance for unexpected cancellations.
All guests must be in reasonable physical health. Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies or disabilities at the time of booking. Cycling is moderate β guests with heart, joint or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor first. First aid kits are carried by our guides at all times.
MAG Adventures reserves the right to modify or cancel tours due to extreme weather, road conditions or safety concerns. In the event of a tour cancellation by MAG Adventures, guests will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date at no extra charge.
